Many of our folks enjoyed The Milwaukee Car show in late February. Fellows from El-Ranch, The Lair and TSH attended. Everyone got to sit in a lot of big trucks and sports cars, meet some police officers and even shoot buckets with some Milwaukee Bucks reps. It was a fast-moving good time!

As February comes to an end and winter keeps on roaring, what have you been doing to cure your winter blahs? Upon visiting the houses with my cheerfull companion (pictured here) I found you all have many creative solutions. Here are our top 3.
1. The craft projects that decorate the houses are an awesome, colorful, and a fun way to bring life to your homes- and each other.
2. Well planned activities give our clients something to look forward to and provide a great escape from Blahsville- Many of our clients recently attended Disney on Ice, trecked to Milwaukee to visit the Mitchel Park domes and also the annual car show. We are also in the planning stages for our big trips this year.
3. Cleaning and Redecorating helps to offer a fresh perspective- especially when spending a lot of time indoors. In our travels, we found a client with a beautiful new armoire in her bedroom, a rearranged livingroom at the plex - and props must be given to the upstairs for excellence in cleaning!

The folks at the Lair made the trek to Milwaukee this past weekend to visit the Milwaukee Domes and check out the "Circus Comes to Town" annual train exhibit! It was a great escape from the bitter cold and a great bonding experience for staff and clients alike :)

We at El Ranch have been keeping busy amidst the Winter season with craft, game and movie nights on the smaller end of activity pursuits.
While the guys very much can't wait for Spring and Summer to arrive, we continue to pursue staple favorites as often as we can. :)
This month we've had some very enjoyable weekend outings to the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay as well as a more recent outing to the EAA Airventure Museum in Oshkosh.

Craft projects are a great way to have fun and draw out your creative side. They also make for great indoor activities when winter weather is just too much to brrrr. Here is a collection of crafts created by staff and a particularly crafty client at Third street :) El Ranch recently recieved a binder full of amazing ideas with simple items to keep em busy all year! It will have you asking yourself next time you throw away a toilet paper roll- could this be a Christmas tree, an angel, a penguin...??? Have fun and send us pictures of your results! They could be featured in a future blog.

Our young man from the Lair recently started a 4-day a week volunteer position at a local animal shelter. He helps with tasks from cleaning out cages, to walking dogs...and everything in between! This is an amazing oppurtunity and a huge step towards overcoming fear! We are so proud!
